A note of congratulations to all concerned with the 125th
Gala Dinner. It was a wonderful occasion and I am sure
was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Hopefully you have

Many thanks to our 250 guests who attended the 125th Gala Dinner
at the Langham on Wednesday night. It was a truly splendid
evening that was both entertaining and enlightening. We
raised over $20,000 for our mentoring programmes from the auction
and donations. Here are more of the emails we have received…
I hope you have recovered from last night. Just wanted to
let you know how much I enjoyed the evening. I thought Helen Clark
and Ann Veneman were an inspired choice of speakers - and who would
have thought to pair them with Jools and Linda! You should
be very pleased with the way the evening ran. There was a really

What a wonderful evening last night! Not only was it
highly professionally run, it was also an overwhelming tribute to
the YWCA and the achievements and advancements of women.
The highlight for me was, naturally, Danielle's
speech. I've been fortunate to participate in many various
awards nights in different capacities, and last night was by far
one of the proudest moments of my life. Danielle conducted
herself beautifully - she was articulate and professional, while
still allowing her true essence and delightful personality to shine
through. Believe me, I was fighting back the
tears!!!
I would very much appreciate if you could pass on
my sincere thanks to all the YWCA team. Last night was an
amazing evening, and a real tribute to so many hard-working and
dedicated women involved with the YWCA organisation.

Congratulations on the success of the dinner on Wednesday
night. I heard a lot of people talking about it (and Helen's
presence in the county) so I'm sure the whole evening was
